The agency will work intensively to promote eco-tourism of the State. It will help us to know about Tripura’s versatile nature and wildlife.

Forest Department, Government of Tripura invites suggestions from citizens for suitable name of the proposed Agency.

So the name of the agency should be:
"TONGKHORLWNG" which means a place or habitat which is full of wildlife and ecology in Kokborok (Tripuri language).

Tongkhorlwng this really would be a suitable name because the itself reflects the motto and vision of the agency.

Tripura is rich in flora and fauna.There are many wildlife sanctuaries in Tripura that are abode to many animals,birds,insects and plant kingdom.There are four sanctuaries in the state.About 2/3rd area of the state is under forest cover where different species of trees, orchids, birds and wild life are found.Tripura offers excellent opportunities for eco-friendly tourism and different wild life sanctuaries in the state offer various attractions to the tourists."Eco-tourism Department of Tripura"
